Ad platforms run increasingly sophisticated detection systems designed to identify and block automated verification traffic, even at low volumes.
Ad platforms analyze Canvas, WebGL, audio context, and font rendering. Headless browsers and automation leave fingerprints real users don’t
Real users scroll, pause, hesitate, and browse naturally. Verification bots generate perfect timing and zero interaction, instant detection.
Google Ads and Meta cross-check IPs against MaxMind, IPQualityScore, and internal ASN lists.Datacenter are flagged in real time.

Detected sessions are served alternate creatives, placeholders, or empty inventory—not real ads.
Retries, blocked impressions, and failed sessions inflate costs without improving coverage.
Miss violations, geo issues, and placement errors because real ads are never shown to bots.

The best proxies for ad verification are residential proxies, specifically city-level ones. Ad verification requires you to view ads exactly as a real user in a specific location would, which means your IP must originate from a genuine residential ISP in the target city, not a datacenter. Ad platforms like Google Ads, Meta, The Trade Desk, and DV360 serve different ad creatives based on precise geo signals ,a country-level proxy is not granular enough for localised campaign verification.
City-Level Residential Proxies — Essential for verifying geo-targeted ads on Google Ads, Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram), Microsoft Advertising, and programmatic platforms like DV360 and The Trade Desk. Confirms the right ad is reaching the right local audience.
ISP (Static Residential) Proxies — A reliable option for sustained ad monitoring sessions on YouTube Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Bing Ads. Offers a consistent, non-rotating IP with residential legitimacy — reducing mid-session detection flags.
Datacenter Proxies — Ad platforms classify datacenter traffic as non-human and may serve bot-targeted ads, blank placements, or suppressed creatives, resulting in inaccurate verification data.
Anti-detect browsers like AdsBower, Multilogin, and GoLogin are built specifically for multi-profile ad verification. Each browser profile operates as an isolated environment with its own proxy, cookies, and fingerprint. Here's how to configure proxies correctly:
Obtain proxy credentials from your residential proxy provider — you'll need the host, port, username, and password. Ensure your provider supports city-level geo-targeting for the locations you need to verify.
Create a new browser profile in AdsBower (or your chosen tool). Navigate to the profile's proxy settings panel and select HTTP, HTTPS, or SOCKS5 depending on your provider's supported protocol. SOCKS5 is preferred for ad verification as it supports all traffic types.
Enter your proxy details — host, port, username, and password. For rotating residential proxies, your provider will give you a single gateway endpoint that automatically rotates IPs, so the host/port stays constant.
Assign one unique proxy per profile. Never share a single proxy IP across multiple verification profiles — ad platforms correlate shared IPs across accounts as a key detection signal.
Verify your IP and location before starting. Open the profile, visit an IP geolocation tool (e.g. iplocation.net or whatismyip.com), and confirm the city and ISP match your target geo. Only proceed once confirmed.
Check TLS fingerprint consistency — ensure your anti-detect browser is not modifying the JA3/TLS fingerprint in a way that conflicts with the proxy's ASN. Some tools do this automatically and can trigger platform detection (see Q3 below).
Use city-level geo-targeting for local ad verification.
Assign one unique IP per browser profile.
Select providers that preserve TLS fingerprints
Vary your behavioural patterns across sessions. Randomise session start times, vary engagement delays, and avoid running verification checks in mechanical, fixed-interval sequences.
Always confirm IP location before starting a session.
Don't use datacenter proxies for ad verification.
Don't reuse proxy IPs across sessions or days.
